Yea Alabama

Yea, Alabama!
Drown 'em Tide!
Every 'Bama man's behind you,
Hit your stride

Go teach the Bulldogs to behave,
Send the Yellow Jackets to a watery grave.

And if a man starts to weaken,
That's a shame!
For Bama's pluck and grit have
Writ her name in Crimson flame.

Fight on, fight on, fight on men!
Remember the Rose Bowl, we'll win then.

So roll on to victory,
Hit your stride,
You're Dixie's football pride,
Crimson Tide,
Roll Tide, Roll Tide!!

Alma Mater

Alabama, listen, Mother,
To our vows of love,
To thyself and to each other,
Faithful friends we'll prove.

Faithful, loyal, firm and true,
Heart bound to heart will beat.
Year by year, the ages through
Until in Heaven we meet.

College days are swiftly fleeting,
Soon we'll leave their halls
Ne'er to join another meeting
'Neath their hallowed walls.

Faithful, loyal, firm and true
Heart bound to heart will beat
Year by year, the ages through
Until in Heaven we meet.

So, farewell, dear Alma Mater
May thy name, we pray,
Be rev'renced ever, pure and stainless
As it is today.

Faithful, loyal, firm and true
Heart bound to heart will beat
Year by year, the ages through
Until in Heaven we meet.

Bama Wins Again! Harper's Fumble-causing Hit on Vols Anderson selected as "Pontiac Game Changing Performance"

For the fourth time in seven weeks, a Bama player has won the "Pontiac Game Changing Performance" award. This week's winner was Roman Harper's fumble-causing hit on Vols fullback Anderson (not Arian Foster as everyone keeps reporting).  Roman's hit captured 72% of all the votes.  ESPN commentators suggest that if Coach Shula were to bend over and tie his shoelaces that even that video would probably win due to the adeptness of Bama fans in the online world!  Thanks for all who voted!

The third winner of the "PGCP" was Tyrone's 87 yd TD catch against Florida for Week 5. It is Pro's second win of the year and the third for a Bama player this season. Congratulations Tyrone and Bama!

Week Three's winner was the pass play from Brodie Croyle to Keith Brown connecting on a 46-yard TD to spark the Tide's win over the Gamecocks.

In Week Two, Tyrone made "The Catch" and will win "The ESPY" and be the subject of several famous paintings.

Alabama junior Tyrone Prothro continues to recover after surgery Saturday night that repaired broken bones in his left leg suffered in the Tide’s 31-3 victory over Florida earlier that day.

Tide head coach Mike Shula addressed the media after practice today concerning Prothro’s condition.

“He had the surgery Saturday night; he’ll hopefully get out (of the hospital) tomorrow. It looks like the surgery went well and hopefully we can get him back at some point in the spring. His spirits are up. The times I’ve been over there, it’s been very crowded. He’s had a lot of visits from our players. His family obviously is there and he’s got a lot of our other students. He’s got signs up in his hospital room; I think he’s well taken care of over there.”

Prothro’s surgery was performed by Dr. Les Fowler at the Druid City Regional Medical Center.

“They put a steel rod in his leg. He (Fowler) feels very good about the success of the surgery and now it’s just a matter of him recovering and starting his rehab. It was obviously a dangerous injury, that’s why they kept him in a little bit longer just to make sure he’s ok before he goes home.”
